ANITA'S STORY

I’ve spent the last 15 years working with bees—studying them, rescuing them, and helping others learn how to care for them naturally. As a former Massachusetts State Bee Inspector and a biologist by training, I’ve seen firsthand how fragile our pollinators are—and how much they need knowledgeable, compassionate beekeepers.

But what fulfills me most isn’t just keeping bees alive—it’s helping people fall in love with them. That’s why I founded Beverly Bees Beekeeping Academy—to teach, mentor, and inspire others to build thriving sustainable hives and become stewards of creation.

IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY

 

I never planned on becoming a beekeeper—it all started when my son and I rolled a beeswax candle at the Topsfield Fair. One class led to a lifelong passion for bees and a mission to protect them naturally. After years as a Massachusetts State Bee Inspector, I founded Beverly Bees to rescue bees, educate others, and share the beauty of sustainable beekeeping. Today, through theBeverly Bees Beekeeping Academy, I help others learn, grow, and thrive with their own hives.
